Tell me more about Moyses Hall
A medieval building with local history and changing collections in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk housed in a 12th century building with examples of Norman and Tudor architecture. Previously used as a gaol, police station, bridewell and parcel sorting office it has been a museum for over 100 years.
Featuring collections and history from the town and Abbey, William Corder and the Red Barn murder, witchcraft and superstition, the Suffolk Regiment, clocks and time pieces, fine art and social history. Handling boxes are available within the museum or for outreach work at schools and community groups.
A full programme of exciting events including workshops, guided tours, lectures and hands-on activities make up a varied programme of events with something to suit everyone. Fully accessible with lift, toilets etc.
