Tell me more about Natural England

Natural England manages some fabulous places for wildlife at many National Nature Reserves (NNRs) in the region. From shingle banks on the coast to the heaths of Breckland in the heart of East Anglia and the wetlands of The Norfolk Broads, we manage habitats that also include ancient woodlands and flower-rich meadows. NNRs are the ‘jewels in the crown’ in terms of landscape and wildlife habitat. Wildlife comes first at NNRs but we want people to enjoy these places wherever possible and find out what makes them tick.

Cavenham Heath NNR for example hosts many free walks throughout the year – from birdwatching to guided walks. Find out what’s going on there and at our other reserves by clicking on www.naturalengland.org.uk which will provide you with full details of all the specific events that Natural England is running.

You can find out more about our nature reserves at www.english-nature.org.uk.

The website will also help you find out more about our work to conserve and enhance the natural environment for everyone.
