Specific Carbohydrate Diet

Seeking an alternative to surgery for her daughter, who was suffering from Ulcerative Colitis, Elaine Gottschall B.A. M.Sc. was put in contact with Dr Haas, who had conceived the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD). Her daughter was completely free from all symptoms within 2 years of starting the diet, and so, following the death of Dr Haas, Elaine continued the research and subsequently wrote Breaking The Vicious Cycle. The results have been wonderful, and nothing less than extraordinary for some people. The SCDUK is simply a group of people in the UK who are using the diet to help control their disease.
